Krystal is a Rhode Island native who received her undergraduate degree in Social Work from Providence College, and a Master of Social Work from New York University. Prior to private practice, Krystal was a clinician at an alternative school and premiere day treatment facility for children with emotional, behavioral, and/or psychiatric needs. In addition, she has experience in other school-based and community settings, as well as facilitating self-help, psychoeducational and therapeutic groups.

Krystal is also involved with a state-wide agency which offers prevention and early intervention services for substance users, families dealing with addictions, and other at risk students in RI middle and high schools.

Krystal speaks Portuguese and serves on the Portuguese American Women’s Association’s board. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and RI Chapter.
